TGIF! Well yes, thank goodness it’s Friday but I’m referring to the popular prime time TV programming block – TGIF. I know you remember shows like Full House, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, Boy Meets World, the list of classics could go on and on. Now, one of my personal favorites was the show Sister, Sister (am I the only one that can’t say that show title without singing the jingle?) Twin sisters, Tia and Tamera stole the show with each episode inevitably ending in an important life lesson as all those 90s sitcoms typically did. Whatever happened to quality TV you were happy to let your kids watch?
Anyway, sister Tamera is all grown up and expecting a child of her own! Tamera worked with celebrity interior designer Shalena Smith to create a “Vintage Americana” themed nursery for her baby boy on the way. The nursery includes similar colors and styles to the rest of the house to give it a clean and seamless feel. Shalena said that she loves to “include personal elements, so the nursery doesn’t just feel staged and store bought.”
The combination of vintage lighting elements from Charn & Company, custom furniture by Newport Cottages, decor by New Arrivals Inc and a few personal touches worked together to represent the theme beautifully and create a nursery that mom, dad and baby are sure to love.
