How to Decorate a Neutral Nursery

Neutral-themed nurseries are a nice alternative to your traditional jungle, under the sea, dinosaur, or princess nursery themes when you don’t know the sex of your baby. A neutral nursery is also the way to go if you plan to easily swap out decor items as your child grows. So whatever the reason may be to create a neutral nursery, the natural design will always create a serene space for your newborn to grow.

To create a neutral design there should be an emphasis on simplicity, clean lines, natural products and a splash of color in accessories. First, choose a simple crib bedding set. The Cameron Crib Bedding by Serena and Lily features a simple cream color with pure white accents. This bedding can be customized by adding a monogram which adds a sophisticated element to this already luxurious bedding. Second, find artwork and accent pieces that add a some color color to the room. The Bunny Blue Diamond Canvas by Doodlefish features adorable bunnies pausing on a hillside. The grassy green and soft blue hues of this canvas offset the simplicity of the cream-colored bedding, adding an earthy and organic feel to the room. Third, when possible add products that are organic or nature inspired. The Bird Trio Bamboo Mobile by Petit Collage is an adorably simple piece to add to a neutral nursery. This mobile has both modern and vintage accents, made from sustainably grown bamboo and accented with vintage wing cutouts. Finally, complete the look by adding an soft, comfy accent rug like the Beige Metropolitan Rug by Surya. The tan color of this textured rug will go perfectly in any neutral or themed room!
