Designing an Outer Space Bedroom

I was totally inspired to design an outer space kids room after watching the lunar eclipse the other night. As I looked up into a dark sky with the large, gorgeous moon gleaming, I thought about how the exploration of space is something that just amazes me.

If the night skies inspire your little boy, then he will be delighted when he gets his own outer space inspired bedroom. These awesome pieces are perfect for the little spaceman in your life!

First of all, I am in love with the Astronaut Ceiling Light. It features an out of this world design of a satellite and is accented by hanging astronauts. Twinkling stars and planets adorn the base, which mounts directly onto the ceiling to help create a room where your child’s imagination can soar. For the wall decor, a wall mural is a great way to add a unique and authentic-looking touch to any bedroom. The solar system wall mural will provide a lasting educational resource as well as a realistic planet design piece!  Also, you can never go wrong with a bright Retro Rocket Canvas Reproduction by Oopsy Daisy. Using designs with stars, spacemen, rockets and telescopes will create a more playful side to an outer space themed room. The Blue Stars Twin Quilt by Whistle and Wink is a great choice for an outer space room. What’s great about Whistle & Wink is that all of their original designs are interchangeable so you’ll have an endless variety of unique combinations at your disposal. Complete the room with a Whistle and Wink Moon Decorative Pillow, Preppy Stripe Standard Sham and a Tabletop Telescope.
